Our tour will take you on a journey through time and space, revealing the secrets of ancient fortresses, inspiring monuments and natural wonders. The complex includes two Renaissance houses in the Middle Bulgarian architectural style. In one of the rooms of the house "Nikola Voyvodov" there is a photo-documentary exposition dedicated to the life and work of Nikola Voyvodov.
Ethnographic-Renaissance Complex "St. Sophrony of Vratsa"
The complex consists of three typical Renaissance architectural buildings and two public buildings from the same period: a church and the first secular school in Vratsa.
Meschiite Tower
The Tower of Meshchite is one of the only 2 preserved residential and defensive towers from the Ottoman period in Bulgaria. It is believed that the tower of Meshchite dates back to the 17th century, but some data suggest its earlier construction - in the 16th century.
The Two Monuments of Hristo Botev
1890 - The first monument in Bulgaria after the Liberation was opened in Vratsa. It immortalizes Hristo Botev. The second and current 12-meter monument was built in 1964 and is the work of sculptor Vladimir Ganovski.
The Herald of Freedom Complex - The Hut
Tourist home "The Hut" was built by voluntary work and funds from Vratsa residents. It was opened on 8.11.1926. It was designed by one of the most prominent architects of his time, namely Petar Dogramadzhiev, who was also from Vratsa.
Turgovska Street
Commercial Street Commercial Street in Vratsa is one of the old central streets of the city. With a rich history, the street keeps its old spirit, revealing local ancient buildings that take you back to a bygone time.
Kurtpasova Tower
The Kurtpaşa Tower is the second of the only 2 surviving residential and defensive towers from the Ottoman period. The Kurtpasov tower had also residential functions, besides defensive ones.
